COVID-19 Emergency Rental Assistance (ERA Program)


Skull Valley Band of Goshute Indians Covid-19 Emergency Rental Assistance (ERA) & Utility Assistance Program.

The Skull Valley Band of Goshutes is currently accepting applications for COVID-19 Emergency Rental Assistance and utility assistance for enrolled SVBG Tribal Members.

Who can apply: Enrolled SVBG Tribal Members. Applicants’ gross household income must be at or below 50% of the HUD median threshold. Skull Valley Band of Goshute’s will determine eligibility once an applicant has submitted a completed application and household income forms.

Limited Funds: The Skull Valley Band of Goshutes has received a limited amount of funds for the Emergency Rental Assistance Program from the United States Treasury under the American Rescue Plan Act of 2021. Accordingly, funds will be made available on a first-come-first-served basis and will be limited to a maximum of $1,500 per month per household. Applicants may apply for an initial 3 months of assistance. Applicants may reapply for additional three-month periods every ninety (90) days provided that the applicant meets eligibility requirements each month. Applicants can only qualify a maximum of 12 months of past due rent or utility payments and up to three months of future rent and utility payments. Applicants are limited to a maximum of twelve (12) months of ERA.

How to apply: Obtain all forms from the Skull Valley Band of Goshutes’ Tribal Social Worker by sending an email request to marjoriej@svgoshutes.com or by requesting the forms in person from the Tribal Social Worker. Submit completed applications by mailing forms to the Skull Valley Band of Goshutes, deliver in-person to the Tribal Social Worker or via email to: marjoriej@svgoshutes.com

Each applicant must have all forms completed and submitted before their application will be evaluated. Documents include a W-9 for the landlord, and any utility companies for which assistance is requested.
